Providing quality food to local students is very important to Agbotic. Kevin and Abby were able to visit Lisbon Elementary School with Renee Smith, our Farm-To-School Coordinator. Kevin spoke with a second-grade class and educated them on greenhouses and local food. We made a fresh beet salad with their amazing school chef, Mr. Rick. He added his popular maple syrup dressing and all the kiddos loved the salad. It was so fun to mingle with all the students and see their reactions to the beet salad. We also had a chance to let the high schoolers try the salad, and now they love to follow us on social media!
